why double drummer?!

The Double Drummer (Thopha saccata) is an Australian cicada. Why pick a cicada as the symbol of our online community? Because after spending a long time out of sight and inactive (underground), they burst into life, live in communities and add their own warmth to an Aussie summer by attracting mates with their song.

Why the Double Drummer? Because it’s the largest and loudest cicada in the world… and we aim to make a lot of noise!
